THE EVER-POPULAR Scottish Legends Championship has announced a Winter Esports series in partnership with Virtual Reality Racing Club, giving fans the opportunity to race against their favourite drivers in a 6-round series with meetings at both Knockhill layouts, Croft, Angelsey & Oulton Park.
The sim racing series will be broadcast live on the VRRC YouTube channel with commentary from British Touring Car and long-time Legends Commentator Richard John Neal.
Scottish Legends Championship Representative Harry Irvine said “We can’t wait to get going with this championship and it’s going to be really interesting to see how the Legends drivers cope with the simulator guys. I’ve spent some time helping VRRC develop the car and it’s very close to the real thing – very lairy! I think the real-life drivers will start with the upper hand but very quickly I think they’ll be overtaken by some of the more experienced (and younger) sim drivers.”
The first round will begin on Tuesday 11th of November around the clockwise layout of Knockhill before heading to the flat-out Croft circuit in the Darlington District of England.
The racing is sure to be close with plenty talking points and with entries still open, there are rumours of some big names from both the Scottish and National Legends championships. We’ll have to wait and see who will give the sim racers a run for their money.
